…and those of us in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands continue to endure the 222s. I wouldn’t mind the heavy delay (from an enthusiast perspective) if we still had HSTs. In all seriousness though, this delay is appalling. When was the first steel cut for the 810s? 2019/2020?

Without straying off-topic too far, are the 222s definitely heading to Scotland to replace the HSTs? If so, I must have missed that!

Yes, for well over 1 hour. Seems to be pot luck if you get through, as I waited in about 4 queues and it came to nothing

My partner just managed to grab me some tickets...had a confirmation email through, but no mention of tickets. A step in the right direction at least!

I have just reached the front of the queue, only to be told 'please try again later today'. I suspect the whole booking system has been taken down...so we await to hear when it returns!

A physical queue, 2005 style, would at least have been fairer...although how that would work logistically is another question!

I had a fantastic morning at the DPS shed at Barrow Hill yesterday. Spoke to a very knowledgeable member who mentioned there was never a speed record run arranged for the 55s. Interesting that the A4s, HSTs and 91s were tested to their limits...but nothing official for the Deltics? I imagine...
