Thanks for getting back to me.
I applied about a month ago, heard nothing so I contacted HR over the phone earlier in the week and they said they were still sifting through them.
You've got the right idea probably best drive over tomorrow. Either that or TPE to Preston and connections there...
Good look for tomorrow Mr Double :)
Hope you don't mind me asking but with your location being Manchester, I take it they were OK with this? I only ask as I have an application in or Blackpool and I hoped that my current location in Manchester won't prevent me from getting an interview, on the...
Ive been looking at the new timetables for next month and came across an interesting express service between Holyhead and Cardiff (05:32). Apparently this carries 1st class and a resturant service. Is this a voyager? (now that xc have hst's might free up some but I didn't think they were valid...
Nuneaton-Manchester £28 FC on the 11:00 (found for 12th Dec)
Nuneaton-Liverpool £28 FC on the 11:20 (same date)
These were the cheapest I could find, Nun not being that far from Leicester either.
That makes me wonder whether ManPicc might have had'em on terminal platforms prior to the 2002 makeover, since there were those VT class 47 shunting movements on XC services. I think they still kept the connecting track in place too.
Just looking at the new timetable there are some interesting changes to the catering stuff there. Looks like VT have done away with specialised peak morning menu and added evening one to London bound trains. Breakfast is definitely worth the extra for :D .
On the subject of yellow lines it seems to be that the terminal platforms don't have them. Manchester Piccadilly has lines on platforms 13 and 14, but no other.
Yes this one was good, then FGW realised they could promote their company logo through the seating! Makes you wonder why XC didn't put a load of X's on their moquette on HST's.
I agree that it can be a mixed bag with NXEC. Depends which train you choose. Though their competitor, Hull Trains, are absolutely fantastic when it comes to FC. One of the best Ive ever had onboard.
I thought the Virgin Mk3's were really classy and refreshing. The Virgin logos on the covers were simple yet effective. The old GNER HST Mk3's were classy also with those table lamps.
If the route does get these Meridians, alongside the refurbed 158s should be by far better. I think it hasn't helped the route in the slightest with the Bradway Tunnel works. Was on a service to Chesterfield a month agoand the majorty of pax carried onwards to Sheffifled and even onboard a...
In some respects it had little difference with the 170s, if a two car one turned up it would just just as much chaos as a 2 car 158. I think the next few months will tell the sucess of this route with the refurbished 158s. If EMT are correct i saying they have much more seating capacity, and the...
Yeah that station gets trains almost every minute, not to mention the specific Gatwick Express service. Though Manchester is looking very good at the moment with its 3rd platform almost done and possible metrolink servie.
