Eh up mate, Yes am ex Coldstream Guards. am 40 and left when I was 23, only did 5 years but enjoyed it. Are you ex military? There was a big Scouse lad who got to the interview stage, he worked as a guard/conductor on Liverpool/Manchester services, got a feeling he will have passed, not sure where he's based though.
I had kept it quiet but told my mate last night, he is gonna go for it next year so we are gonna rig some apparatus up and practice like mad. I will be like Floyd Mayweather next time I face that machine and I won't be wearing my smart pointed shoes!

No I'm not a driver, have passed all the assessments with Northern though and am waiting in the 'Talent Pool' for a course start date. I was asking about internal candidates because I'm in competition with them for a course start date. Do you happen to know where they other people where applying to? Anyone for Lime Street?

Well I hear Northern are recruiting a lot of drivers next year so you will get another shot. If it was the sounds that got you, theres a game out called simple simon which is a series of lights and noises, that could help.
