No such thing. The original sentence still stands. They're merely serving it outside of prison.

The point is that it isn't a just sentence. And that's why we put them in prison and impose conditions upon them for the rest of their lives even if they're transferred to the "very open prison". They may be released, but they are not at liberty. Oh, do give it a rest with this nonsense...
