Yeah, I did think it was an odd reason (if indeed it was true). I know the trains are off between Kilmarnock and Glasgow just now but I've not seen any dupes running on the X76 or noticing any real change. Thus far, anyway. 2 Panther LEs at Kilmarnock and 2 at Ayr don't make much sense to me.

There was talk of the E400EVs being pantograph charged at Kilmarnock bus station, not having seen any additional ones being installed I'm guessing this isn't the case and they're going to be charged overnight at the depot?

Last week's news but not reported here I guess. The true end of Optare now that Switch are consulting on the closure of their plant in Sherburn and handling all UK production from India or the UAE. Sad fizzle out of what was quite a pioneering manufacturer in it's day...
