Still says ‘application received’ and I too applied in December.
Depot driver job I applied for in Blackburn which I submitted 2 weeks ago now says ‘application in process’
Have applied for this, hopefully the process will be quicker than the trainee driver roles which I applied for!
One question though, is being a depot driver a step up to becoming a qualified driver or are you limited to that role?
Have you passed the psychometric tests with another TOC? From what I’ve briefly read it seems that those who have previously passed have been interviewed quickly.
Mine still says application received for all three
Nothing at all from them with the three I’ve applied for.
On the website it states ‘application received’
There clearly is no consistency to as and when the inform candidates of the outcome so it’s back to the waiting game like in the summer for the TfW role :)
Sorry to hear this mate, did they email you or did you check the website? Like you I applied for Liverpool using practically the same application content as my TfW one (I too got an interview).
Application received on the ones I applied to. I’m sure that the closing date was 11th January.
The application period seemed to be open for a substantial period of time so I imagine it’ll take them a fair while to do a sift of the applications
No particular reason for picking on Ormskirk, I sometimes drive through there on the way to work (bootle). Also I was telling my dad about the Ormskirk to Preston service was recently reported to be one of the most cancelled on the rail network.
Fair point re Cardiff and Bristol.
I had a look...
Interesting points but I’m still not convinced.
Would you agree that St. Helens is a commuter town? St Helens Central & St Helens Junction when combined still have less passengers than Ormskirk. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Helens_Central_railway_station &...
its a small town about halfway between Preston & Liverpool on the A59. Population of about 25,000 meaning 1 in 5 would use that service everyday. Trains heading north go to Preston and are operated by Northern. Trains heading south go to Liverpool and are operated by Merseyrail
I can’t see that...
Could anyone shed light on why Ormskirk has an estimated passenger usage of 2 million (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ormskirk_railway_station) compared to seemingly busier stations like Blackpool North or Wigan North Western (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigan_North_Western_railway_station...
Chucked my hat into the ring for the Blackpool one.
Both Liverpool and Manchester are commutable from where I live so am I able to apply for those as well?
Good luck to the others applying. Have a merry Christmas
That’s interesting, saw the advert the day before my Arriva interview but thought best focus on the interview rather than a fresh application. By all accounts it would have been wasted time
