When I applied last year DB took into account previous passes I had with TPE and I only had to sit a couple that I hadn't already completed. That said from what I undertstand the tests have changed since I did them so this may not be the case anymore.

I'm not sure how true that is , for example I am an one of quite a few external applicants brand new to the railway and am currently on the training course. Our course is approx 50/50 between internal and external. Just sayin! :D Cheers , Paul

Hi RB It's going really well mate , first couple of weeks have been a bit chaotic with a lot of info coming our way to take in. Had a few cab rides and did the PTS course. Got hands on with a 66 and an 09 , did some coupling up, a signal lesson , and other HR / admin type bits and bobs too...
