    Has anyone heard any chat of XC acquiring new rolling stock? I know the Voyagers are going for a refurbish but they will have an end of life date and I'd imagine the chat for new stock would need to commence years before they actually come into service

    For Train crew the only depot in Edinburgh is based at Edinburgh Waverley. Drivers and guards based there go to Dunbar, north berwick, tweedbank, Dundee, fife circle, Glasgow queen street, dunblane, Glasgow central via shotts, Glasgow queen street via Cumberland

    I may have understood you incorrectly however most modern day trains are electrically braked and friction brake is only used below a certain speed or to supplement the electrical (dynamic/rheostatic) brake
