    You obviously do not travel on the line to see how many people get on at stations like Aigburth, St Michaels and Brunswick but I agree four carriage trains are sufficient

    The extension of the service from Chester to Llandudno in May has I think exceeded TfWs wildest dreams passenger wise. Towns on the coast were always popular destinations for Liverpool people so a through train for a day trip was always going to be a winner.

    The shaft bearings and liners were removed from the ship and sent to a specialist company in Denmark for repair.

    I travelled regularly to Belgium up until 2022 and found the best service for chasing loco haulage was Oostende to Eupen.
