That's one of my issues which is where there are screens they should have real time info showing service status not just count down to DUE and then disappear from the screen. Surely the technology is there to be better?

The new services start today and whilst an improvement, it would be better to have services starting earlier and finishing later. Most buses tend to wind down from 1900.

Its taken local pressure to get First to recognise that services to and from Beaulieu Park needed vast improvements. Linking Chelmer Village which is poorly served compared to other areas is a start.

First Essex have made several changes across their network. The Chelmsford changes see several amendments including improvements to and from Beaulieu Park station and changes to city centre stops to make room for longer distance services from the bus station. More details here...

I use the 47 to commute to and from Canary Wharf and there are two buses ay 0630 then 0713 then the next one is after 0900. On the way home its 1610, 1740 and 1905 and that's it. The last 47 into Chelmsford is 1730. It never does the same journey as it goes either to Oaklands Park or Chelmsford...

The bus services need to be better though. The loadings boarding at Chelmsford in the am and Stratford in the pm (not helped by 20 min gaps in evening) are the busiest its been for some time including Mondays and Fridays. Better pricing and transport options are needed if people are to use it.

I think they simply ran out of funds for it. The station is at a junction of the A12 and local roads back into Chelmsford, across to Stansted and locally to Boreham so safe walking and cycling routes are a must. I recall one of the taxi drivers saying the licencing arrangements for the station...
