Hi, help please?
I was commuting between Harpenden & West Hampstead in the morning at the start of January. I had a weekly season on me with my usual photocard number on it. I was asked for my ticket by a lady inspector. I showed her my ticket but she wanted to see the photocard as well. I knew I had just lost it so I told her this.
She asked me to sign a statement that I had lost my photocard. She said that it was unlikely that I would hear any more . She gave me a slip of paper with a number on it and said I should show it if asked for and said I could continue my travel that day. She recommended that I get a new photocard asap which I duly did later that day when they also issued me a new ticket.
Today a letter arrived from the PD at GTR asking for the photocard without delay and stating that prosecution through a magistrates court might ensue if I failed to provide it.
I am hoping that someone can tell me the best way to deal with this. Thanks for reading this....
