    Ipswich trespass incident

So he's been up there since approx. 0820 this morning - no trains have passed through or departed from Ipswich since then effectively cutting the GEML in half. Would be interesting to know the final delay minutes on this one...

    1644 London Liverpool Street - Clacton-on-Sea

Sure does. And still contains many travellers who don't know if they're in the "front 8" or the "rear 4". I take it the Class 360 PIS can't show different messages per unit? ie "This carriage is for Harwich Town" etc. EDIT: Actually I think it might well do now. It's the splitting 1708...

    Not so Greater Anglia

Quite. As a daily user of the GE route I quite enjoy the relative luxury of the occasional 360. The 321s feel like they would go on forever and any faults can be fixed with a big hammer  just a shame about the back-crippling low seating and needing to be doing about a ton before any air...

    Not so Greater Anglia

According to NR the incident at Ingatestone was due to equipment failure causing signal L730 to stick red. Signallers had to talk each train past the affected area. GA and NR apparently made the decision to run as many trains as possible through the affected area rather than terminate short and...

    Twitter good or bad?

I echo what iphone76 says about GA. Really helpful people and many's the time I've sat on a delayed service having got a reply back about the cause before it seems the poor driver knows trying to get through to the signalman. They do take a lot of stick and some agressive questioning but always...

    Disruption on the GEML.

    Goodbye National Express East Anglia.......

NXEA Twitter announced it was fixed at 1400. At 1500 it had failed again.

    Goodbye National Express East Anglia.......

I thought that timetable changes only occured May & December? Certainly an arbitary date I picked in mid-February still shows the 0647 from Colchester Town running through to Liverpool St. It will be interesting to see how many 321s are on the 0629 Ipswich to Liverpool St currently operated by...

    317/7 on GEML

Thanks for that - you summed up my thoughts on the things exactly! The occasions I've taken a 317 the inter-carriage doors have been stuck open - I just assumed that's how they were. Tonight 2 321 peak services from LST were short formed (8v12) I'm guessing so the two freed up units could cover...

    317/7 on GEML

Hi all, first post! There was a "Tweet the manager" session with NXEA's Train Planning/Peformance managers earlier this evening. One question I raised concerned the use of 317/7 stock on peak service on the GEML (specifically the 0629 IPS - LST) and the overcrowding caused by the 2+2 seating...
