Thanks guys. It looks like seat reservations are offerred for other trains on the same day that I was looking at, so I guess the issue is indeed regarding the Aurora units as suggested. I’ll see what turns up on the day!
Hi. I’m trying to book Advance tickets from London to Sheffield for later this month. Towards the end of the booking process it says "Sit in any vacant unreserved seat except first class” although in a previous screen it says that reserved seats are included.
I’m now confused as to whether...
Ah. Thanks, LowLevel. I am booked on the 1632 so sounds like it’ll be a 180. I don‘t think I’ve been on one of those operated by EMR before - I usually travel up on a Meridian so it’ll be a new experience.
I’ll just get to St Pancras early to grab a good seat!
Many Thanks for the help guys!
Hi all
I hope you can give me your thoughts and advice, please, on a ticket I recently purchased online From EMR
I bought an advance first for travel next week from London St Pancras to Chesterfield.

I happened to see the 5Q19 Haslemere to Havant and the 5Q20 Havant to Clapham Junction (according to Realtraintimes) going through Rowlands Castle this afternoon. Unfortunately I didn't get a good look as I was in a pub garden at the time!
I don't suppose anyone knows about stock allocation on the St Malo - Rennes line? I'll be travelling on it on a Friday morning soon, and would be interested in travelling on a Rėgio 2N. Are they used on all services or is it a mixture?
Thanks
Hi guys
I'm traveling on the 1154 from Reading to Worcester tomorrow (17 October). Does anyone happen to know what sort of train it'll be?
The GWR timetable doesn't show an HST or WiFi symbol. Does this imply that the train will be what I rightly or wrongly think of as a Networker Turbo...
Hi Charly. I've only just come across your photos from Nantes and Rennes. Thank you for sharing them. I've been to Rennes, and certainly want to go to Nantes some day - it looks like a very good tram city.

Yes, actually I think the front was more like the Twinset's rather than the slightly more pointed Railcar.
The livery was a darker, more traditional green, though.
It was definitely an old tram - a railcar or may have been a Coronation or half of one of the "twin cars". Definitely not a modern CAF tram. Livery was mainly green. Had large stickers on the sides but couldn't catch what they said.
Traveling up the M42 and I've just passed a Blackpool Railcar on a trailer heading in the Birmingham direction. It had some stickers on it but I couldn'make them out.
Out of interest, does anyone know where it would have been going?
Cheers.
