Does this mean as recently as 2022 (or maybe 2021) there were still some fares available for under a pound? I seem to remember there were a few in the mid-2010s, possibly some of the examples above, but I’m not sure how gradually they increased in price after that.

Thanks, that's fair enough as it was always a nice unofficial bonus. 62 minutes still avoids the annoyance of being a couple of seconds too late if you're in a queue to board.

Has the TFL hopper fare time been reduced? I touched in on a second bus 65 minutes after the first and was charged a second £1.55, even though it's normally 70 minutes. I've seen one tweet suggesting the time has been cut to 62 minutes, but nothing official.

£15 London to Edinburgh all through the Fringe Festival, which is a brilliant deal for this time of year even if it is the slower West Coast service. No railcard discounts but still cheaper than most remaining railcard fares for that month.
