Hey guys, I'm in the talent pool for a conductor role. I haven't emailed for a update at all this year and figured it would be pointless with Covid, as they will probably have a backlog of candidates. However, just wondering when it might be best to email for an update - just to see where we...
Does anyone know if there are going to be any guard openings in Crewe? In the talent pool but there are only so many times you can email recruitment without feeling like you're pestering lol
Is there any news on when there will be drivers in Crewe needed?
I'm in the conductor talent pool, so hoping that if maybe a few current guards are in the driver pool, they may push them to the courses and open a few guard positions lol
I applied for Crewe but the assessment day was in Chester. We also had quite a few from other TOCs also, so it wasn't just limited to the Crewe guard position.
It feels like I've been in the pool longer than I actually have. In for 6 months and still have another 18 months left in it, but it...
Out of curiosity, are interviews usually done separately or does it just depend on which location is hiring?
I did all my online stuff, which included the tests, and was put in the pool for the assessment. Had an email a few months later to invite me to the assessment.
Our assessment was the...
My application isn't even on my account anymore lol. I applied for a driver and my submission says that I didn't make it through, but my conductor one - nada.
The only way I know I am still in the pool is that I emailed for an update. Still no news on Crewe courses, according to the...
Hey. I am currently in the pool for conductor but I also applied for a driver and got an email telling me I was unsuccessful in passing the initial sift and told me where I could improve.
So I assume they must send out emails to all unsuccessful applicants.
Honestly, as someone who did 4 years at uni - I wish I hadn't bothered. 4 wasted years and lots of debt is what I got from uni.
Now, that isn't to say that this applies to all uni courses. No, some people I know found their degrees very useful to their careers.
It's best to sit down and really...
I'm waiting for the Crewe depot.
The recruitment team told me when I first found out that if a course became available, they'd let me know.
Also, due to seeing how long some people wait around in the pools, I am not putting my life on hold for it ... though I would like to give my current job...
I applied for the role too, and it did state in the advertisement that it would take a few weeks before they start getting back to people.
When I applied for the conductor position back in December, it took about 3 weeks before I got a response.
Though I am not sure if they send out responses...
I went to an assessment in March.
What to expect?
SCAAT exam
Group work
Individual interview
I was pretty nervous but they are lovely and make you feel welcome.
Which depot have you applied for?
Well the person who emailed me back informed me they couldn't tell me what position I was in the pool but told me to rest assure that as soon as a position was available, I'd be contacted.
They did confirm that I was in the pool for 24 months, not 12. So I am pleased with that - I can wait :D...
Ah, I was in the morning session. I was curious who had gotten through, as I believe my interviewer told me there was only one or two places for Crewe on this upcoming course.
Still waiting to hear back from the recruitment team, though they seem to be busy as I have yet to receive a reply yet...
