Yes - option is back. Just used PayPal to pay on Northern website for my trip to Manchester today.
Maybe it would have been better to display some information about it being unavailable, rather than just removing the button without trace.
I tried to book my ticket for a journey to London tomorrow - nothing unusual.
Both the LNR and Northern websites no longer offered the option of paying by PayPal.
Not a big deal, but some warning to regular users of that payment method would have been nice.
Easier to just extend the current Northern Piccadilly-Airport-Crewe by adding on the WM Crewe-Stoke-Stafford.
No new paths/trains/platforms needed. Or is that what you meant?
Because the 3 HS2 services from London to Manchester will not be stopping at Crewe - at least that's what is projected on page 17 of the 'High Speed Two: Crewe Hub Consultation Response'.

First, there was no mention of the new platform on the Manchester Independent lines.
This, or a re-opened platform 13, would allow Manchester to Cardiff trains to...
Except that all 3 will be routed via HS2 phase 2a through Crewe. Unlike now when 2 are routed via Stoke.
"Some compromises" - I wonder what they will be.
Will this affect the Crewe re-signalling project?
Any delays there could affect work associated with the arrival of HS2 Phase 2A and the Crewe Hub regeneration project.
All the hype is for Crewe becoming an HS2 hub station, something like Old Oak Common.
In reality Crewe is not designated as an 'HS2 station', so will get almost no HS2 money.
The phase 2B tunnel will ensure that all captive gauge are unable to stop at Crewe.
Expect more announcements in the...
There seems to be a lack of symmetry.
The Liverpool to Euston uses the slow after Milton Keynes, but the Euston to Liverpool uses the fast to Milton Keynes.
So there are 16 direct trains from Crewe to Hemel, but only 2 from Hemel to Crewe.
Is this covered by the splitting/joining at New Street...
