    Merseyrail 777 introduction

They can't get that right and we are supposed to trust that doors won't open at short platforms

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

Well given the state of the one on the 777s, someone has dropped a ball. Whoever is responsible looks to have given up.

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

Who's responsible for the PIS, do Merseyrail control it or Merseytravel. It's never really been right, some TV screens don't work, announcements are wrong. Although the times are there on the trains I get on, they seem to show red now.

The PIS is just dreadful on these trains.

    Liverpool Lime Street

Ok, so I use lime street quite often, the steps attract all sorts, drinking, smoking, an despite the bins there are fag ends and beer cans everywhere. Yesterday the RMT were outside handing out something, which ended up on the floor... Various homeless characters including one fella in a...

    Liverpool Lime Street

Will Liverpool Lime Street ever get the concourse update it really needs? It just looks really old and tired now, granted there are a few new retail units which seems to have taken an age to complete, which are still empty, Boots and WH Smith really need a refurb, the advertising boards are non...

How could Merseyrail improve post-777 introduction?

They aren't though, the selective door stuff is on Merseytravel and Stadler. If it's not working then Merseyrail can't use it, thus can't train drivers. They wouldn't choose to not stop at stations, or leave passengers behind on the Chester lines for that matter. Pretty sure if Merseyrail could...

How could Merseyrail improve post-777 introduction?

Why can't we blame the politicians. They are in charge, the Mayor as the figurehead is there when it's going well, nowhere to be seen when it isn't, unless he can blame others. They are spending "our" money, and we've been left short changed. So where is the public declaration of getting our...

How could Merseyrail improve post-777 introduction?

mods note - split from this thread https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/merseyrail-777-discussion.287845/ The embarrassment isn't Merseyrail's though, although publicly it's clear they have to take the heat away from the high ups . The Mayor (City Region) bought trains that he knew wouldn't...

    Thameslink PIS system is terrible

Wonder if they shopped in the same place as Merseytravel's 777 for the PIS?

So does that mean it will be more reliable. Sorry I don't quite understand.

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

Does anyone ever report this stuff/complain to Merseyrail. It's just poor.

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

Obviously the 777 caused it !

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

If there is a points failure there isn't much Merseyrail can do.

    Merseyrail 777 introduction

Because they contractually probably can't say anything. They have no choice but to work with what they have, they can't exactly say we have the worst trains whilst The Mayor is saying they are the best thing ever.
