Hi, unfortunately it looks like I will be unable to return to my role on the railway and will be PMRd next year, I've been told there is a BR calculator that is used to work out how much severance pay that could be offered. Anyone have any useful information for me ?

Okay , his email says a group exercise, a competency based interview plus a chance to chat to last year's apprentices. The interview is normally based on 4 or 5 specific subjects like communication or team working but we can't find any clues on network rail website. Maybe looking too far into it x
Hi, my son has been invited to an advanced aprenticeship assessment centre at Manchester on Thurs 4th June ( I know this is a strike day so if it goes ahead I'm going to have to drive) I'm just wondering if anyone has attended this year and knows what happens on the day

If its a conductor role BMI doesn't come into it, I've just had my medical and nurse said my BMI was high ( gave me a little lecture) but then said it didn't matter for conductor role.:roll:
Hi, I was at the assessment @ Leeds on 3rd Jan, they phoned me Tues to say I had passed assessments and the course would be starting 20th Jan @ Leeds, another phone call on Thurs to verify all information and that is it!!!

Hi I have applied for conductor at Carlisle and I have been asked to go to Leeds on 3rd Jan 14 for an assessment, I am just asking any advice anyone has for me, I have had a look through the practice material and I am worried about the short time they give you to answer the questions.
