    I have no idea what its doing up in Donny?. Bumped into it by chance at Rossington (just south of doncaster) where it passed at 12:55 with the DVT leading.

    Yes GC's HST's are probably as bad for smoke as a kettle, thats why they depart the station with only one power car on. When they first ran there, they would depart with both PC's working and frequently set the fire alarms off :D

    XC HSTs being shortened?

    From my experience the XC HST's that I have travelled on seem to be quite lightly loaded, although these have been early morning and afternoon trains on a Saturday. Removing two coaches however might make them a bit wedged around the Birmingham area on weekdays?
