    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I haven't once said I've been left out of pocket? I would be out of pocket during the time it took them to process the refund. I'm aware of my own contribution, my issue here is that they want me to pay £20 only for them to refund it. In the mean time I am down £20. What is the actual point in...

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

Churlish, self-defeating? I don't agree. They don't ensure payment can be authorised prior to loading Oyster cards. When the payment then fails (I'm sure this happens quite often) they resort to making threats of "further action". Then they expect the commuter to pay just so they can get a...

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I'll see what happens. It's not cricket threatening possible "further action" though. That line in itself seems to have been put there to scare people into paying.

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

Nope, there was £6 of my own money on there prior to them adding the £20. So in total £26 on the card. I haven't used the card since. I'm now just intrigued as to what the sentence about further action means

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I just don't want to pay them £20 and be out of pocket for 3 or 4 weeks. I know it's only £20, but that's a lot of money to me. Do we know how long it takes to process a cancellation and refund, and what form the refund takes? I can't go to London to cancel using a yellow swipe point, either.

Ordered online or bought at a station?

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

Would I be prevented from getting an Oyster card in the future, say, if I wanted to travel to London for pleasure rather than business?

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I reckon I could just about out run him now  Unless he throws one of his grills at me. Seriously though, I'm intrigued as to what these "further steps" are. I notice the use of "may" in their threat.

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

The fact our opinion differs on the content within the email is neither here nor there. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Not bothered about the £11. They can have it as an admin fee  --- old post above --- --- new post below --- OK, so I didn't top up my Oyster card. I don't...

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I'll visit once a year, if that now. Just wondering what would happen if I didn't pay the £20 and let them cancel the Oyster card. If nothing, I'll probably leave it rather than go through the rigmarole of getting a refund.

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I'm just trying to think of a time I'll need it again, and I can't. I'll soon to surrender my Annual Season ticket between Kent and London as I won't be commuting anymore. If I go to London it'll be as a day trip with friends/family, and I'll almost certainly buy a travelcard anyway.

After the £20 was added there is £26 credit.

    Oyster Auto top-up failed!

I haven't used my Oyster card for a while before Monday, but I had to go to London for work and used the tube between Victoria, Stockwell and Borough. Anyway, my balance fell below the threshold and attempted an auto top-up which also failed due to insufficient funds on my debit card. I...
