  • Hello Brian,
The list of seagulls that went to wolverhampton included myself, Andy Alder, and Phill Cotton, we all transfered on the same day , roger only applied two weeks before after i convinced him of the benefits. All had a great time route learning etc, sadley after a couple of incidents ( fatalaties ) divorce and illness i took early retirement, finishing on the same date as John Dorricott , depot manager, and spent a couple of years in Australia.
Will look at the other site, and dig out some more photo's, good to hear from you.
    Regards Andy Alder
    Hi Andrew A.
I see from your profile that you were a Seagull and at some point transferred to Wolverhampton,I was at Saltley from 1963 till I took early retirement in 2006,you may remember me ,my name is Brian Hammonds(Saltleyman on the Rail forum). The only Saltleymen I remember going to Wolves were Roger Whitehead,Reggie Walton and R.Hodgson, are you any of these ?
You may also be interested in a website called Railchat.co.uk where you will find a lot of ex Saltleymen who post from time to time, indeed one is a moderator !
Hope you will reply to my PM.
    Regards
    Brian.
