Apparently it is illegal to walk on the railway, but thousands do it every day! (And many pay the ultimate price) :(

Not one of the best looking locos. There are much better looking ones in Europe already. I wonder just how many sales there will be for diesels, as most freight is hauled by electrics over there.

The SRT has quite a selection of locos and rolling stock, including, IIRC some like our class 158 units. Thanks for the pics.

I have been using a Fuji S5000 for quite a while. pretty good camera with a 10x zoom. But I wanted to get back into SLR's which I used in film camera days, so just bought a Nikon D40 with standard and telephoto lenses. Has not arrived yet but I can't wait to get my hands on it. 8)

I like 'our' Central Trains DMU's.

Trouble is there is now a high security prison and Network Rail yard on the Whitemoor end, and a large house across the track as it exits Spalding. :( I bet they wished it had been mothballed, instead of ripped up!
