Retrospectively that would be a laborious task and CCTV is wiped after a number of weeks. They use it on TfL to identify passengers scamming thousands of pounds, proactively, so they can perform a stop.
Indeed. And that is not a vast amount but it is an amount which could make a material difference to performance. I'd still prefer to pay tax to make up any shortfall, but we are where we are.
Have you or have you not attempted to raise funds as suggested upthread? A credit card or small bank loan will solve this issue for you. Most people can get the former.
It depends if the historic offences are taken into consideration. But either way the OP runs the risk of then also being sued in the county court for the rest.
Well no, it was a figure of speech. The point is you can't laud low fares in Germany without acknowledging the system there needs money - and a lot of it - in order to get back to where it was. At the moment it looks like a 20 year job. Like you, I'd prefer to pay more tax to make the railway...
Indeed. There's no point going anywhere for a quid if you can't actually get there because the trains are up the spout. Germany's network is in a parlour state to the point it has become an international embarrassment.
