I worked this train today and was steady going up on the 07:47 but the return working the 10:58 Carlisle to Leeds was probably around 80% of seats taken on a 4 car on the core Appleby to Settle section with a pretty even mix of £1.50 sale tickets, advance tickets and normal walk up tickets
It the departure time of where you board so you're fine for boarding a train at Leeds at 15:58 but if you were to board the same train at the next station at 16:06 it wouldn't be allowed, of course the peak restrictions are only Monday to Friday
The engineering possession was kept on as it had been all night which included Blea Moor so Ribblehead turnbacks weren't available initially. It was looked at shortening the possession back to allow Blea Moor to be available and also they looked at someone to open Garsdale box up as its locked...
The press the close button is a myth, just do it like any other door test except by the time you get to the front the back doors will have auto closed. Open, close, open, check cross feed and carry on, and close from the other end of the train
