Is crossing the tracks southwards such a big issue? I'd just move the Blackpool and Wigan trains to the northernmost platform, probably renamed 'Platform 0' and then just put one of the southbound trains onto the current Platform 5 which would minimise crossing over each lane.

I can imagine Lime St are really wishing they hadn't ripped up the tracks from the original platform 1 on the North side of the station during the 2017-18 remodelling. It would probably be quite useful now for a space to put the shorter trains.

Stations like Leighton Buzzard, Northampton and Watford Junction aren't even served by the LNR Euston - Crewe currently. And I don't remember those being planned stops in the proposed extension, but yet they're shown on the new departure boards whilst Euston is not. All just seems very random...

The exact same problem occurs on the Oldham/Rochdale Line when trams are arriving into Monsall although it feels even slower than 10mph. It adds at least an extra minute onto the journey. Anyone know why this is the case here?

I always thought it was silly to put 802s on the Scarborough route given that from Victoria to the East there's no or next to no wires that the 802s could realistically use and so it will running on diesel all the way through with no sections for the pantograph to go up. Same applies to the TPE...

The proposals to extend the Euston - Crewe service to Manchester Victoria seems to have been wiped from their website on the 'Destination Manchester page' as it only mentions about going to Manchester Airport now.

Yeah, a direct CLC to Victoria route would be useful. Would probably help relieve some of the congestion along the corridor. But sadly I haven't seen anyone raising this idea so probably not gonna happen in the foreseeable.
