Heywood had been due to close / Nelson Street open earlier this week but short-term lease extension lined up for Heywood to allow Nelson Street building works to be completed
Ex GNW Optare Solo SR NK12 HCE has arrived at Denton from Go North East, returning to the North West for first time since March 2024 to provide cover for long term accident damage Strata 5302.
Very grateful if anybody can confirm the 378 unit which worked the 1145 9H26 Clapham Junction to Dalston Junction today (18 September 2025) - thank you!
I just read the BBC news story, including description of Egyptian chamber, it felt very familiar, and then recalled Tiny Stations. My recollection is that Dixe Wills conveyed a chilling quality to this chap without any idea, presumably, about his crimes. Shocking.
And to summarise the Denton allocation from 5 January:
Tameside A Small contract (11 PVR)
5204-5209 (new E200 MMCs from TfGM order)
5301-5303 (new/almost new Merc Mellors)
5053-5055 (Solos ex Wigan)
5101 (short E200 ex Wigan)
= 13
T3 Schools (23 PVR)
3081-3090 (ex Brighton B5 Hybrid)
3274-3277...

On the subject of refurbs - operators of Large Franchises have two years from start of contract to ensure the entire fleet is fully compliant with Enhanced Spec (so GNW deadline is September 2025). Priority for refurb are vehicles which will remain in fleet beyond that date. The 5 temporary...
Yes, Wrightbus Electroliner double decks. Current electric routes 36,37,471 to go 100% electric and additional corridor to be electrified (won’t name which; suspect TfGM will want to announce).
Apologies, I hadn’t realised that factually incorrect posts made without evidence can’t be refuted. All I would say is that there isn’t any evidence to support the original claim, given that neither Go-Ahead nor ADL have ever made any public statement to suggest that a Morebus order was diverted...
As somebody involved in the procurement I can reiterate that you’re wrong and that 52 buses were specifically ordered by GNW in line with bid commitments but for obvious reasons can’t share evidence so I’ll let your conjecture stand.
I remain surprised that you consider 102 brand new buses and...
