It might actually in part be due to this. I did hear that many drivers left the Met when the S Stock came in. Not sure how true that is though. Would drivers be inclined to leave lines when stock changes occur (where we are talking after a service life of 35 to 50 years)?

Fair enough on the single livery being applied to all units. It will be strange that an Intercity Pendolino service from London to Scotland will be branded the same as a commuter service run such as South Eastern. If you ask me, it gives a perception that may downgrade the intercity type service!
