The new ticket office is much nicer, the windows give views over Brighton and there is some memorabilia on display.

No problem :) Bought back some memories for me too, I had completely forgotten about the ticket office but I remember it now. It was rather a grubby affair compared to the 'plush' travel centre across the way. IIRC that had a glass frontage, carpet and soft furnishings. I'd love to see a picture...

You are correct it about the B&H Buses outlet at the station. That closed at the same time as the Old Steine shop when they consolidated operations at the new North premises. The old travel centre is now a WH Smiths and the old ticket office is a Superdrug.

They could well have done, I don't recall ever using it as my bus to get there would take me right past Brighton Station so I'd just use the Travel Centre there. I did buy Southern and Thameslink (possibly FCC) GroupSave and DaySave tickets from the Old Steine shop though.

This became the One Stop Stop Travel shop about the turn of the century, which was mainly for B&H buses but still sold some rail tickets. About 10 years that moved to North Street and is now called Brighton Travel Hub. The Old Steine premises is now a Subways.

It's very scenic line, a shame that more can't be made of it. Although you are spoilt for choice with those in Scotland.

Yes understandable with luggage! NCL to EDP is available to bookable the preceding Sunday (27/12), so hopefully yours will be available this week. Or you could buy NCL-EDB now if you're worried about the price going up and then a single EDB-EDP (£3.60).

Any bus bouncers would need to quite careful manhandling someone deemed by law to be a child. How would they even know if someone's 14+ if that's the new cutoff?
