Cleared this morning around 5am.

1N14, 19:33 KX to Newcastle (Arr: 22:44) has finally arrived into Newcastle at 06:26. 462 mins late (7 hours 42 minutes late).

Things appear to now be starting to get on the move. 1E24 has left Retford towards London... And 1E25 has departed Doncaster for London.

Its now past Grantham and heading towards Newark. At a guess, im wondering whether its going to lash up the 3 Azumas at Newark and drag all three the back way to Doncaster?!

1Z99 is out again, routed onto slow at Tallington and round the 3 that are stuck at Stoke Jnc. Either somethings broken or its going to be used to drag something another way with no wires.

Think there was another thread on here somewhere. Simple answer - very few trains head that way, and therefore the boxes the control the signalling are rarely open > Cue tons of cable theft. 3/4 of the signals are now completly black and Network Rail has taken the decision to close the line...

So, actually... From an outsiders point of view - It's the TOC's fault because they are not allowing their drivers to have full route knowledge, eg XC and the diversion via Barrow Hill, Woodburn, Nunnery... Sorry, but under BR this wouldnt happen.
