    First Class-Stafford to Scarborough (Weekend)

On the XC Stafford - Manchester id very much doubt you'll be provided with anything since it's such a short distance. Not too sure about the TPE bit though.

How much is 1st class Virgin weekend upgrade from Wolverhampton to London?

Any West Midlands station to London or stations in between is £10... Any other route (Manc, Glasgow, Liverpoool, North Wales or Scotland) or any station in between is £15 upgrade fee. We'll worth it though!!

A southern unit in the midlands!

I think the new 377s with Southern have been on testing over various parts of the southern WCML.

Weekend First with a standard Britrail Pass?

Correction to the above... Weekend First is a flat fare of £15.00 on all routes with the exception of the West Midlands (brown route A in timetables), where a flat £10.00 upgrade fee is payable.

    FIP trip to Switzerland

The only answer I know is on ALL TGV trains you are required to take the particular seat and sit in it. This is because the seats do not display seat reservation info.

British Airways Club/First worth the money?

I've upgraded on a short haul flight when BA had their £89 offer on and thoroughly loved very minute of it. So much so that I'm planning my next Club Europe trip soon. Further afield I wouldn't know so ill leave it to the experts.

So how well do you know your trains?

At Milton Keynes station ill be able to identify between passenger stock (pendo, voyager, 377 & 350/1 &/2s). Not freight though.

Changing from the Circle line to the DLR

Simply because I don't like the walk between Monument and Bank I would choose Tower Hill / Gateway to interchange.

    Buying tickets in NL

I would suggest you buy your NL tickets from a ticket window since the machines do NOT accept UK bank cards.

Oh... I thought it was quite funny at first.

Funny signs in toilets "Please don't flush...."

It's actually on all Virgin toilet seats.

    Paddington to Euston transfer

If you don't mind paying extra I would strongly recommend the 205 bus as it avoids steps down to / up from the tube.
