From what I understand, money in funding the 4 day week was not a problem, LU will try and get it back from productivity.
To this end if some drivers do not want a longer working day, or alterations to spare arrangements, then they will never get a reduction in the working week.

Ticket offices should be growing instead of declining, the savings are not for the betterment of the public, and limits their choices drastically.

Agreed on involuntary, but on RDW I have been at GWR and now SWR, and RDW rates have been dropped before coming back years later.
Every TOC hates them, which is why they are not t&c’s.
I can see ASLEF trying to put them back in, but you would have to sell something, to get in there.
Enhanced rates at SWR are in place but as a RDW agreement.
For it to be a condition is shocking. Means it can never change unless some silly sod sells it!

I agree numbers are bigger in different departments, but I think in projected cost this is huge.
No other operator has it as a T&C, highest is 1+25%
It must be millions in costs.
