Hi All, I have seen that East Coast services working Kings Cross - Leeds will be diverted between Doncaster and Leeds and will Not call at Wakefield Westgate. I have heard rumours that the services will be class 67 hauled and that the route which will be taken is via Shaftholme Junction and Knottingley and into Leeds from there.

Can anyone confirm that this will be the route which the services will take and whether or not they will be class 67 hauled?

Thanks Dan.

Via Hambleton is usually the favourite, it has certainly happened in the past when Wakefield-Doncaster was shut. Though I did them when the line was closed, I cannot remember what the stock / traction was that was used.

Most trains that day are via Hambleton (all bar two of the ones that are not shown in the EC amended timetable as calling at WKF - see below).

The ones that are shown as calling at WKF are routed Lds - Methley - Wakefield K - Wakefield W (reverse) - Adwick - Doncaster. (The engineering is between LDS and WKF).

All the above are HST, bar the two exceptions mentioned in the first paragraph....

The two exceptions are 1D13 1203 KGX - LDS and 1A43 1647 LDS - KGX. These are MK4 and are 67 hauled part of the way. 1D13 route is Hambleton, and 1A43 route is LDS - Methley - Hare Park - Adwick - Doncaster.

Thanks for the replies :)

I had thought that the 10:50 Ex Doncaster would have been loco hauled judging on the timings as most take an hour from Doncaster - Leeds.

Thanks again for the help.

Judging by the timings for those two workings it looks like the 67 will be added/removed at Retford rather than Doncaster, presumably due to capacity.

The 67 is indeed added/detached at Retford.

1D13 1336 - 1401 at Retford, 1A43 1745 - 1810 at Retford.

Is it being replaced with a 90 or are they de-training the passengers onto a 91 set?

Thanks for the info on the runnings, will probably be at Leeds on that day. I wonder if the stock will be stuck in the platforms for the 2 hours between the return journey?

The 67 will be hauling a full IC225 set and will simply be dropped off at Retford with the 91 then continuing on by itself.
