Michael Portillo is on with Radio 2's Steve Wright this afternoon talking about the series.
Very good start to the series. I didn't spot as many continuity errors either.
Michael cabbed 70007! He's VERY Lucky!!
In the title shots where is the station where Michael Portillo boards the pacer, with a signal number UT219?
Oh dear, what's Michael done to deserve that?![]()
Torquay.
That's a clip from the first series in 2010. For some reason it is actually a mirror image, and I have no idea why they flipped it, but they obviously decided to change the signal number else it would be even more noticeable. You can tell though as 'First Great Western' on the 142 as well as the 'Do not cross the line' signs are both back-to-front.In the title shots where is the station where Michael Portillo boards the pacer, with a signal number UT219?
Torquay.
What was the story behind the DRS duffs and what looks like two Mk2s and a DVT in Episode 1?

I much prefer 'Railway Walks' the presenter is much easier on the eyes and its not full of cringy snobbery.
I thought the series had crawled onto its deathbed a while ago. I much prefer 'Railway Walks' the presenter is much easier on the eyes and its not full of cringy snobbery.
I remember reading a while ago their response to the train continuity problem. I don't remember the details but it boiled down to it just wasn't practical to film the same train that Michael is actually on all the time.
Like what?
Jolly good, my eyes are on BBC's iPlayer (I don't have a TV license as most of it is complete rubbish these days).
Sent from my HTC Desire S
of course you will still need a tv licence, to view on a computer-surley!
