Normally Station Supervisor positions. Grade B is higher than Grade A.
Duties depend on the station. If its a small station you sometimes have to run the station on your own, mainly based in the Ticket Office, but also having to do Security checks and Cleaning. Also getting passengers home by ordering rail replacements if they get stranded due to the last train being cancelled.
At a larger station a Supervisor (normally higher grades like B, C or even D) are in charge of Despatch staff and/or Cleaning, Gateline and Booking Office staff while having to do some of these duties themselves from time to time, as well as answering passenger questions, speaking to control and signaller, watching CCTV, station security, using TOPS/TRUST to keep up to date on train running, making station announcements, dealing with rail replacement services, dealing with lost property, and relaying messages on to the station staff regarding train running using hand held radio or telephone.
