Which are the best and worst TOC's for claiming refunds for delays or cancellations from?

For me, London Overground are excellent. A quick submission using their online form and a travel voucher for at least the single fare journey is sent normally in two working days.

Southern on the other hand only give half the single fare for a 30-59 minute delay, then you have to wait up to six weeks for the cheque or travel voucher.

London Midland allows submission online too.

Only ever had to claim from LM, VT, XC and NXEC (as it was then) and apart from LM, all pretty much the same in terms of time taken, although levels of compensation from VT are different.

FCC do tend to reply within a couple of weeks unless there was a major problem which meant they were indunated with claims to process.
However they have cut back on the amount paid out.
When FCC started I would often get over £6 for a 30 minute delay. The last voucher I got for a 30 minute delay on the same journey (& using an annual season ticket which has increased in cost over time) was for £2.03 - the last few vouchers have not been rounded up. So somehow thay are now calculating the delay amount differently.

I had to wait 6 weeks for FCC but that was a day of misery and disruption on the ECML. EC were very quick to respond earlier in the year.

Northern don't do delay repay for under an hour (perhaps due to mostly offering regional short distance services?)

No but anything more extreme we do better and offer a full days travel on our Trains (poor you)

I think compensation for inconvenience caused by shorter delays is more appropiate. What would someone do with unlimited travel anyway, hop around the North for a day?

The amount of vouchers I see I don't see many complaining lol
