That might just apply to both sexes. Rivalry is natural in most animal species.

I don't see the attraction of jogging bottoms/sports suit/tracksuit when wearing them out and about... The just make people look awful IMO

Agreed, unless they are actually wearing them for sports activities..

I find that converse shoes can get very uncomfortable and provide no arch support, thats why I always wear them.

On the other hand I find the trilby hat very practical in the summer and is the only hat which provides shade for the back my neck, whereas the baseball cap is hideous piece of clothing that should never be worn.

The Harrington jacket is one of the most comfortable jackets I have ever worn and I'm surprised that more people dont wear it.

Jogging bottoms are warmer than trousers and more comfortable than jeans; nuff said.

I find that converse shoes can get very uncomfortable and provide no arch support, thats why I always wear them.

I've always worn them -- and, happily for my feet, recently switched to vans-style shoes, since the heels kept falling out of the chucks. Plus they're made by Nike so I can pretend to be vaguelly savvy on who's using sweatshops...

Trilbies are comfortable and practical, but wear one around here and you'll get punched for being a "hipster" or whatever new word the "cool" people are throwing around these days. Ugh, fashion police.

Something I have noted though... I used to wear Primark jeans, not seeing the point spending five times more on a decent pair. Well, I have finally bought some Wranglers, and I can say YES IT IS worth spending more. Like, honestly, the difference simply in the thickness of the denim is incredible. Primark jeans are freezing compared to them. The zip seems a lot more rugged too.
