Is anyone else of a certain age more than a little excited it seems to be a stick on that they are reforming and are going to be doing gigs next summer?

I know Brown can be a bit hit and miss vocally live but I reckon the atmosphere surrounding the gigs will pull them through.

I think it's great news - I seem to remember starrymarkb is also a fan. I've never seen them live, hopefully will get the chance now.

I cannot wait, I missed seeing them live years ago, and won't make the same mistake again. Browns singing has supposed to have improved, but we'll see I'm sure.

Hopefully a series of weekend gigs.

Manchester, Glasgow/Edinburgh, Cardiff and London.

All dayers.

The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Happy Mondays (I think they'd bury the hatchet to do this), The Inspiral Carpets and The Farm being the bill.

Sounds like a plan! Not crazy on the farm, but the rest sound great.

That would be a fantastic line-up. I'm mainly into 80s music but do spill over into the 90s. Not hear anything by The Farm for years - currently listening to "All together now" courtesy of youtube.

nope, only Heaton Park, Manchester

They confirmed at the press conference yesterday that there will be other dates, they just aren't announcing them yet.

IMO they'll be waiting to see how many people are unsuccessful in getting tickets on Friday and will then start announcing further gigs from there knowing that venues in those areas will easily sell out.

Got tickets for the Friday night. Canny wait :D

I got Friday tickets as well. :D:D

Was over the moon, was actually shaking as I was typing my card number is as I was that worried about typing it in wrong, the details getting declined and then there being no tickets left when I went to type it in properly.:lol::lol:

Now I've just got to wait for the cheap train tickets to go on sale next year to get that part of the trip sorted!

We used Ticket Master and their site kept on going down.

We got tickets on the 'previously unannounced' (!) Sunday gig. Huraah!

They should only let you in if you're over 35 quite frankly ;)

never really 'got' what they were about, but each to their own, it's an age thing I suppose, I know the music press have been 'banging' on about them getting back together for years, so for their fans, I hope it all goes according to plan.
Enjoy

Don't know if you are saying that now you know the support on the Sunday are Plan B, The Wailers, The Justice Tonight Band (feat. Mick Jones, Pete Wylie & The Farm) and Dirty North.

I'm very happy that Primal Scream are supporting on the Friday. :D:D

I don't mind Plan B and don't expect to get there to early as I fancy a bash behind 44008 at Peak Rail on the way up tomorrow (note to self: must tell the wife:D)

How was it?

Loads and loads of tickets flying around. You would have got one for less than face value.
