I am planning on travelling weekly on a Friday from Kings Norton to Kirkcaldy and returning Sunday afternoon/evening.

Is it possible to do it cheaper than the £115 monthly open return etc ??

Actually valid between Kirkcaldy and Manchester, TP+Connections tickets are usually £1/2 more than the equivalent ticket to Edinburgh (and remember, you can double between Haymarket and Edinburgh)
