I'm thinking that the other obvious answer is Burnham. However, surely the "Town Centre" sign ruins that?

Quite possibly it ruins it. I'd say so as it's still incorrect.

That just got me thinking and after a quick bit of wiki-research, it would seem that the town centre sign is technically incorrect...

The train in question looks like an HST, meaning that this answer wouldn't make much (if any) sense. However, might I try to be different, and say Bourne End?

This won't last long now!

Marlow? Or would this shot not work at a terminus? (Should have thought of that for Bourne End to be fair.)

Not Marlow. Has the same number of platforms as Marlow though. It isn't a terminus either. I think Marlow may be closer as the crow flies than Maidenhead.

Hmm... three problems:

(1) The time; I have a seminar at 1100!
(2) I would have to get my DVD or SD card out to actually prepare the picture
(3) There isn't a slot for either in the Uni PC towers!

However, I do have a solution, but it will take a few minutes - probably roughly 10-12. By which time I'll be no more than 80 minutes from sleep  Instead, I will use a different solution. For this one, I will have to declare an open floor, and even resign for the night (I have to send a PM first though). When I get back to my room, I shall copy a few pictures onto my USB drive and use the Uni PCs to prepare them; this will do until I get my new laptop. After all, I always use my own material for this - and have plenty of new stuff, some taken as recently as ten eleven [sorry; got the day mixed up!] days ago! ;)

So, for now, open floor. Tomorrow, Ivo will return to the scene (at roughly 2030 I expect) - for good! :D:D:D

You are totally wrong. But Wallasey Grove Road is actually in the picture. :)

Huh?????

Wallasey Village, if not Grove Road?

O/F if right; I'm off to bed soon. Next time, however...!

Correct Ivo it's Wallasey Village, my local station for 19 years :)

Wallasey Grove Road is just 800 metres from the end of the platform. Used to be 20p single between the stops at one point.
