Over the past 2 weeks there has been at least 4 172 diagrams that I am aware of. But I think there may be some more tomorrow as more seem to be introduced every fortnight.

7 172s working today
My evening commute became a 172 for the first time today, what a surprise when it turned up 
When it was 150 formed people were standing by the doors, but in the 172 there were plenty of free seats and nobody standing. Lovely atmosphere, feel really privelaged to have them after suffering 150s for a year.
One point though, has anybody else noticed the amount of 172s going round with their information systems switched off? The last three i have caught have had their systems off, different services.

7! Well, expect to see a 150 migration to fgw any day now! I caught a 172 yesterday and the system was on and working, complete with announcements. The good thing is, it tells you what is required and doesn't go through all those safety announcements, even when starting a new service. The lady is the same as the midland metro!

172340 was on my regular 150 haunt 2S72. "Tickets, passes and excuses please!"

Having been out on Snow Hill services this afternoon I can say that the LM info is now out of date, what they refer to as train one was in fact a 150.
It's not bad news as several passenger services were being operated by 172s, certainly more than four.

And if your out for the SVR Gala thing I can confirm the funny 0-6-0 Hydraulic thing is sitting on a low loader at Kidderminster waiting to be unloaded.

Are they the same each day or does it vary. I'm mainly interested if any of the services that get to Kidderminster around 08:00 to 08:30 are 172s
The diagrams remain the same throughout the day.
Of the 172 diagrams I know, there is one that gets in at 07:34 (can go to Worcester and it'll come back to KID at 08:23. Or there is a train that gets in at 09:20.

a few 2 car 172s knockin about between worcester and Tyseley today again ,one was 172 216 with a 170 633 on the rear .
hopeing for a 150 /172 combo soon

Has a 172 reached Leamington in service yet
Not that I'm aware of, but to me that's on the 'dark side' of the Snow Hill lines, so I cannot be certain.

I'm only referring to the fact that I don't know much east of Birmingham on the Snow Hill lines.
At least one was stabled there overnight last night. Not sure if it was in service or an ecs from Dorridge.

Yes 2 stabled at leamington.
One for 05.47 to Snow Hill (172345 tomorrow)
and one for ECS to Stratford at 05.58 for 06.29 to Snow Hill. (172340 tomorrow)

172345 worked to Leamington Spa on the 17.25 from Kidderminster (5th Oct).
From Monday 3rd October it seems the following trains departing from Moor Street tare 172's now:
18.00 to leamington Spa
18.10 to Whittlocks End
18.25 to Dorridge
All were 150's last week.
However, 2/3 car pairs of 150's are still working this week:
07.08 from Leamington Spa (2 x 2-car 150)
07.58 from Dorridge (150/0 + 150/1 or 150/2)
The 150/153 mix was 150012+153365 yesterday (5th Oct).

I happened to pass through Worcester (originally "Wyre-chester"!) yesterday, and was surprised to see 3 172 units parked up in the Tunnel depot.
Having arrived on a 166 from Oxford, I was just too late for the 1647 to Stratford (a 172) but instead caught the 1716 to Dorridge as far as Smethwick (also a 172, my first ride).
Nice layout, quiet, but seemed sluggish especially up Old Hill bank.
No tray tables that I could see. Carpet already stained.
The PIS must have been working into Worcester, but was switched off on my journey (with no announcements either, or ticket check).
I was also astonished at Foregate St to see the 1702 GW service depart - a single car 153 for a 155-mile, 4-hour route from Great Malvern to Southampton via Swindon and Westbury. What fun to be on that one.

Indeed 345 was on the 0547 today. And very nice they are too. Lots of wheelslip on acceleration at certain stations though. And I love the gear changes. Sound like an automatic car !!
An extra 153 is added at Gloucester, which runs to Southampton. The original 153 from Great Malvern is actually removed at Westbury.
172337 failed today at stourbridge which was suppose to be the 16:39 to forgate street, it was taken out of service at around 17:20 after been stationary at stourbridge causing the line to be blocked, as a result there was no worcester service from 16:09 till around 17:50. On the other hand 172339 has renamed stourbridge junction, stourbridge town !

172339 now safely put to bed at leamington ready for the 05.58 empties to Stratford.
172338 been and gone on its trip to Dorridge then Worcester before returning to Leamington for 23.45 tonight.
