We're saying goodbye to the Deltics - but not for long. They're off up to Shildon for the first meeting of all 6 surviving locos and the prototype.

55 015 Tulyar left by road yesterday and D9009 is being picked up by 55 022 and 55 016 tomorrow for a rail move - that should make an interesting photograph! If anyone does get a shot, please do post it on here.

Tomorrow as mentioned above will be Thursday the 6th of October.

Anyone going to be out to photo/video this move?

Would love to see these beasts come past.

rI was at Shildon today and helped a guy cover the headcode indicator boatd with a piece of black plastic as the original perspex cover got damaged in the transfer.
