"Departed 11 mins early"

Live departure boards is showing the 10:17 Manchester-Chester as leaving Manchester 11 minutes early. Is this is a bug in the software? The 09:17 Manchester-Chester was about 23 minutes late, so it wasn't so late that the 09:17 and 10:17 have got mixed up.

The xx29 Stevenage to Kings Cross via Hertford on the weekends does that, comes up as a early departure when it hasn't actually left the station - I think it's something to do with the signalling systems in use.

2D48 then reported 2 down at Ardwick Junction so it is either a bug (more likely I think) or sat in the station throat for some 10+ minutes!

it's a new thing they're trying. Rather than closing the Doors 30 seconds early, they're trying it 11 minutes before time, in the hope that it might give them a chance of being on time.

Isn't it their new overcrowding solution? Send the services that are overcrowded out early and let the services with empty seats depart late.

900 minutes late at Shotton.
