Please could someone enlighten me. Thank you.

A stone train of empties seen heading south a couple of miles towards Bradford-on-Avon at 15.35 on Friday 16 October. Where had it come from and where was it going?

A little later at 15.50 at the same location a loaded stone train heading north towards Bathampton Junction. Where had it come from and what was its destination?

Thank you.

Empites would appear to be 6V18 1238 Oxford Banbury Road (Flhh) to Whatley Quarry F Liner Hh https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H55701/2026-10-16/detailed

Second train seems to be 6C22 1514 Westbury Down T.C. to Leckwith North Jn https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:B33634/2026-10-16/detailed

Concur with @ANDREW_D_WEBB. There was an (empty Class 66 loco hauled?) aggregates working from Oxford Banbury Road (Freightliner Heavy Haul) to Whatley Quarry (Freightliner Heavy Haul) on Friday which passed through Bradford-on-Avon on Friday 16th October 2026 at around 1529. Likely that was the first one.
