Bob, thank you for posting this, which is very good news for the resort. The article in the link shows a start being made in 2012. The stated improvements have been overdue for very many years now. Llandudno will be a far more welcoming resort to greet rail passengers when all these works will have been effected.

Agree its very shoddy for a six days a week station.Good news though,now I await news about the double track from Wrexham.

I hope they keep the plaque commemorating the death of the station cat in 1989.
If basic maintenance had been done over the years! I remember the fall roof and it was allowed to decay by BR. Now all the North Wales line needs is an increase online speeds, they're appalling low for a double track railway that's pretty flat.

That was the big problem when the Railways were taken over by the state, preventative maintenance of buildings appeared too much of a luxury.
It was luck the Member of Parliament lived in the resort during the Beeching era.
