Applied for a Training Conductor role with TfW. My first video interview answer didn’t save, but my second and third did. Does anyone know if this will affect my application?

Hi all,

Is anyone else currently going through the recruitment process. If so what part of the process are you upto. I sat the TCT two weeks ago and haven’t heard anything since so was wondering if anyone else was in a similar position? I know no news is good news and it’s not a fast process so fingers crossed!

Thanks

Everything seems so hit and miss with TFW at the moment! I've just applied for a TM position, and got invited to the online error checking test. No automatic email to say I had past like last time, when I'm certain I did really well on it and now waiting 3 and a half weeks since sitting the TDMT. I just don't know where I'm at.

I applied for the train manager position last Wednesday. I got an invite to complete some online tests the same day. I completed these the next day and within 3 hours I had an invite to complete an online recorded interview. I had two days to complete this, I haven’t heard anything since completing the online interview Friday gone.

Just stick with it is the only advice I can give anyone. Take your time with it all and don’t overthink the tests! I think the recruitment is an ongoing process. Hopefully everyone will hear something soon!

Having just got the call for a medical last week, I can only comment on my experiences. When I was going through the testing process, they seemed to send them all out in batches. I got my tests in the first round, finished all 3 with the TCT being last. It went quiet for a few weeks before others got the tests. I had to then wait for those to complete the tests too. so on and so forth.
Once everyone had completed tests, I then heard back from recruitment.
It's a long old process, but worth it if successful.

Great news! When does your course start?

I was just talking to a conductor on the central line and asked some questions.

She had also heard of around 8 courses next year but she almost mentioned there was a rumour of extending the talent pool to 3 years but don’t take her word for it. This could be interesting

I think I’ll email recruitment with some questions

Hi all...I've recently applied for a conductor role for TFW and have been asked to take part in an online interview. Does anyone have any experience of this interview and what it may include? Its been 22yrs since I last had an interview and I feel so out of touch.

Thanks for reading.

Not too bad, but could have done better. Think there were 3 questions if i remember rightly. You were given two minutes to answer and record your answer. The first question I answered well, but the other ones I did struggle somewhat as they didn't ask me any questions which I had prepared for which took me back (unless it was how they were worded).
If you dont mind sharing or helping, what questions were you asked?

Hi I’ve recently applied for the TTM role. Passed the online tests and was invited to a video interview immediately. I’ve submitted this and just wondering how long people wait on average to find out if they’re through to the next stage? Thanks!
