[sarcasm]how i Can't wait for someone to suggest that they wire bristol - penzance then use pantographed voyagers on there cos they are the best.

Perhaps they could wire up the toilets at the same time, to deter people from using them, all we'd need is that electric shock sign with the words "No Solids" beneath it.

Incidentally, thank the DDA for the forthcoming 142 withdrawal, otherwise there'd be someone at Northern looking at the hump on them and thinking "that's a good place for a pantograph" ;)

Why not? Ride quality better than a voyager, better loos, decent size windows ;)

The previous trains worked fine on that line too. But lets put things into perspective here - if you can make 25kV work in the west of Scotland, you can make it work anywhere...

That picture looks as though the water is nearer the photographer than the 380.
