It just goes on for sooooo long, a bit like trump, both overstayed their welcome I think.

It’s not a program I watch. Myself, I dance like a chair with a broken leg so I avoid it at all costs.
I remember seeing Come Dancing when I was young. It was all amateurs dancing and felt more like a competition.
Strictly Come Dancing is a selection of B-List celebrities paired with professional dancers. I suspect most viewers plump for their favourite celebrity irrespective of how well they dance.

As another of the world's worst dancers, I find it of little interest. Of more interest is why do they need (and pay for) three presenters when they used to manage with one (Bruce Forsyth) ?

There were always two presenters from the beginning (Forsyth and Tess Daly).

I suspect the new three earn less in total than Tess and Claudia did.

Having spent the evening with my Father I had to suffer this. One thing I noticed was that when the “celebrities “ are dancing the audience seem to clap, scream and whoop every 30 seconds. However, I noticed that when the audience were glimpsed in the darkness during the dancing etc none of them were doing anything like this! Could it be dubbed on? :?:

My partner took her mum to the filming a few years ago and said that (at least then) what you saw on the telly was what happened in the studio apart from:

1 - (obviously) long gaps whilst they sort the stage out between dancers. These were a lot longer than the videos of them practicing that they show in the programme

2 - the Sunday results programme is filmed straight after the Saturday programme

3 - the music act isn’t always the same one that was filmed that week, they shuffle them around based on availability for filming and when record companies want them on telly

It's one of the few programmes I will happily watch with my wife - although it's taking time to adjust to the new presenters and I'm also sure that Josh is pretty much not needed. Emma Willis could do all the floor presentation with her eyes closed.

I did wonder if Josh and Johannes might swap roles at times, though it hasn't happened so far. It's also rather evident that quite a bit of the presenters' 'banter' is actually scripted and probably rehearsed - Josh for one isn't good at making it sound natural yet. But it's early days, and I think all three will probably feel more natural and relaxed once they've got a few more editions under their belts. Tess and Claudia had been doing it for a good many years, and of course at the start, Bruce had had decades of presenting experience, going back to the days when many programmes were broadcast live.
