Cheers.

The original Maidstone United FC played in the fourth division of the Football League from 1989 until both its own and the fourth division's demise in 1992 but what was unusual about their time in the league?

They didn't buy or sell any players.
No because...
They played in Dartford.
...is correct.

They had sold their London Road ground in 1988 while still in the Conference and were ground sharing with Dartford and therefore never played a home match in Maidstone.

Trivia. The present National League South club was formed in 1992 as Maidstone Invicta from what had been the youth squad of the original club.

Your turn to kick off with the next question.

Thank you. Staying with football.
From the beginning of top flight English football (1888/89) until the 2000s only one non British or Irish born player topped the season's goal scorers.
Who was he?
