Ember coaches causing chaos at the airport due to arriving ahead of schedule and blocking stances. Already damaged a shelter at the airport and a Stagecoach 747

About time there is a Bus Station created at the airport now. The coach stances have been used a few times for this purpose.

Took the 08:18 service this morning. Didn't have many people booked in advance but it ended up being over half full with last minute bookings - mostly tourists. Got into Glasgow 10 minutes early. Pretty good journey!

I took a mid morning E20 to Edinburgh Airport and there was only 2 of us onboard. We only stopped at Livingston Deer Park. I noticed the driver telling Americans who got off the inbound service to book online next time.

The driver wasn't moaning, he was being helpful. They would of boarded at Edinburgh Airport. Its the same with Flixbus too, you have to buy online, overseas tourists won't always know that.

I was able to get on Flixbus multiple times without a booking, perhaps it's only the 090 or Scottish routes in general.

Ember don't require you to book at certain main stops but do require you to book at intermediate stops. If no one books them they will go right pass. I tracked an E19 on their map and it did not pass St Johns in Livingston as no one booked it. Deer Park is a prebooked stop according to the map.

I do think running the E19 as a demand-responsive service is a bit silly, unless the purpose is to reduce demand? It is in all other respects a local bus service, and I wager would probably be used more if it was ran as such.

I don't think the loadings on the overnight E19s are anything to do with pre-booking, or not. There is minimal demand at that time. They do seem to pick up a handful of passengers on some of the very early morning airport runs. I don't know if it's more people using the airport or working there.

I took the E20 to Deer Park from Glasgow last week. Smart, efficient service and cost me £3.10. 10 minutes quicker than the train door to door. Around 10 people on board at 4pm on a Friday. It'll be my way of getting to Glasgow while it lasts - saves me time and money compared to the train.

At Buchanan Bus Station all of the Edinburgh Airport signage directs you towards the Citylink services. Ember has an excellent product but they do need to find ways to let people know about it.

I think you’d be surprised how well the E20 in particular is picking up over the last few weeks with a lot of busier services. The E19 will always take time to build demand but in reality this is the perfect feeder between Livingston and Edinburgh Airport for the busier E20 route.

We also don't know embers workings, how much it costs them to operate these routes, and how much they're happy to lose for a holistic approach. Their 24/7 buses are genuinely a lifesaver and small things like that do unbelievable things for brand loyalty and image that is almost impossible to simply buy

It's running every hour and 20 minutes from early morning on Christmas Day as well, Wonder if Citylink will take NECs on Christmas Day this year they started taking them on New Year's Day this year, Prices on Citylink on Christmas day is a shambles as well considering there's competition running on those days offering a far cheaper alternative
