Hello,
Has anyone one heard any thing about the upgrade of Kings Norton station under the MRH scheme, or the possibility of extending the Camp Hill line services to Worcester to allow the cross-city line to go back up to 6tph?

Thanks

If Kings Norton were upgraded, is there a plan to also increase the passenger service on the Camp Hill line itself or are the constraints elsewhere (presumably including New Street itself)?

I think the long term plan is to run the Camp Hill line trains into Moor Street, allowing 4tph

This is true and would also be quicker into Moor Street as it avoids the large loop to enter New Street from the East.

4tph stopping along the Camp Hill would decimate overall capacity along there. Its not signalled for it.

I think it's in the Midland Rail Hub plan for 2031-2040, so not imminent.

There's also a plan in there to run trains from New Street to Walsall to Aldridge (new station), onto the Sutton Park line towards Coleshill and then into Moor Street on the Eastern chords. That bit feels a bit speculative

Nothing past Aldridge is happening in the medium term. The plan is a diesel shuttle Walsall to Aldridge to a single platform, and that has gone ominously quiet.

It says here that it is an aim for 2040, it also suggests that the New Street-Hereford trains would stop at Kings Norton. https://www.wmre.org.uk/media/aryjxnga/wmre-investment-strategy-and-summary-final.pdf
Thats a strategy, doesn't mean its feasible.
